Stucco Work for Full-Scope Renovations in Oxford, MS
When a renovation reaches the exterior — stucco repair, color-matched re-coats, addition tie-ins — TAV leads the full project. Some stucco scope we self-perform; some we coordinate through trusted licensed exterior crews. Either way, one contractor owns the result.

Stucco as Part of the Whole Project
TAV Construction is an interior finishing specialist by trade — and lately we've been actively expanding into stucco work as well. When stucco scope shows up on a project, we either self-perform it or bring in a licensed exterior finishing crew we've worked with. Either path, you get one project, one schedule, and one contractor accountable for the result.
What TAV Owns
Project plan, permit, schedule, sub coordination (when applicable), color and texture matching, finish standard, and a guarantee that the exterior stucco work integrates with framing, roofing, and any interior finish on the same project. One number, one contract.
What Stucco Work Covers
Crack and water-damage repair, full re-coats on existing stucco, new stucco application on additions, and integration with windows, trim, and roof flashing. The hard part is almost always the color match and the upstream water source — both of which we plan for first.
- Stucco repair and patching — cracks, gouges, and water-damaged sections rebuilt with color and texture matched to existing wall.
- Full re-coats — when the existing stucco is uniformly aged or visually inconsistent, a full skim coat produces a clean reset.
- New stucco on additions — full three-coat system over weather-resistant barrier and lath, matched to the existing home if applicable.
- Water-source diagnosis — flashing, weep-screed, and trim integration checked first; the visible stucco failure is usually the symptom, not the cause.
Stucco failures in Mississippi humidity are mostly water-related: flashing that wasn't installed correctly above a window, a weep screed that's caulked shut at the bottom of the wall, a roof valley that drains onto a stucco wall instead of into a gutter. Replacing the visible stucco without solving the upstream cause means the same patch will fail in 18 months. We trace the source on every repair, fix it, and only then rebuild the finish.
Color and texture matching is the second piece. New stucco mixed against a 20-year-old wall will always read newer unless the trowel pattern, sand grit, and pigment ratio are tested against the existing surface. We pull samples, lay test patches in a hidden corner, and only commit to the visible repair when the match is right.

Stucco & Project Lead — Common Questions
How TAV handles exterior stucco scope on full renovations.
1Does TAV apply stucco directly?
TAV is actively expanding into stucco work and currently leads stucco scope through trusted licensed exterior finishing crews. Some projects we self-perform; some we sub. Either way, you get one contractor accountable for the whole renovation.
2What kinds of stucco work does TAV manage?
Repair and patching of cracked or water-damaged stucco, full re-coats on existing stucco homes, integration of new stucco on additions, and color-matched stucco work tied to renovation projects.
3Why use TAV for stucco instead of a dedicated stucco crew?
For stucco-only jobs, hiring a dedicated stucco contractor is often the right move. Our value shows up when stucco is one phase of a larger renovation that also needs framing, roofing, drywall, or finish work — one project lead beats four uncoordinated bids.
4Can you match existing stucco color and texture?
Yes. Color and texture matching is the single hardest part of any stucco repair. We test sample patches in a hidden area, adjust the mix and trowel pattern, and only commit to the visible repair when the patch reads continuous with the existing wall.
5What about water-damaged stucco?
Water damage on stucco is almost always a flashing or weep-screed problem upstream of the visible damage. We trace the source first, repair the upstream cause, then rebuild the stucco. Patching without source repair just postpones the next failure.
